Container ship transporting ocean freight
What is ocean freight?

Move import cargo by sea, as FCL or LCL.

Ocean freight transports goods by ship. FCL uses a container for one shipment, while LCL combines smaller shipments in shared container space. The chosen mode determines how cargo is prepared and handed over after arrival.

Choose the shipment mode

Review FCL or LCL using cargo volume, packaging and the intended shipment arrangement.

Define responsibilities

Clarify the origin, destination and stages included in the agreed scope.

Connect U.S. operations

Request port pickup, handling, storage or delivery alongside the international move.

Service capabilities

Connect the Ocean Shipment With Its Destination

FCL & LCL Shipping

Arrange full-container shipments or consolidate smaller loads, with equipment selected for your cargo.

Origin & Gateway Coordination

Agree the origin handoff, arrival gateway and ocean transport scope.

Destination Connection

Plan the relevant release, pickup and onward U.S. handling.

FCL or LCL?

Start with the cargo, volume, weight and route. If you are unsure, share what you know so the shipment configuration can be reviewed.

FCL — Full Container Load

For a shipment planned around a full container, with container type and quantity reviewed for the cargo.

Request FCL

LCL — Less than Container Load

For freight moving within a consolidated ocean shipment, with volume, packaging and destination handoff reviewed.

Request LCL

Not sure? Share your cargo and route

After arrival, FCL follows a container pickup arrangement. LCL is collected from the applicable cargo-release point after deconsolidation.

Door-to-Door Requirements

Door-to-door service can connect origin pickup, ocean transport and U.S. delivery. DDP options are available on selected Southeast Asia-to-U.S. FCL routes; confirm route eligibility, customs responsibilities, duties, taxes and included charges in your quotation.
